Nigel Shafran: The People on the Street
Albany Arts Communications would like to announce the publication of The People on the Street, a new book by the acclaimed photographer Nigel Shafran. Known for his objective yet intimate approach to capturing the everyday, in this book Shafran reverses the direction of the camera, turning himself into its subject matter. Between 2016 and 2017 Shafran approached vulnerable people living on the street in London and Paris, and asked them to take his photograph.

Acclaimed British artist Beth Nicholas has launched her own range of seven hand-finished wallpapers. The wallpapers, which are based on paintings that have recently been commissioned by a number of international luxury brands, including Christian Louboutin and Christian Dior, come in seven different designs, and are available exclusively on Nicholas’ website.

Lot 5 Collective: Face Value
Albany Arts Communications is delighted to announce Lot 5 Collective’s fourth exhibition, Face Value, will be staged at the Royal Opera Arcade Gallery, London, running from 8 – 17 November 2018. The six artists that make up the collective are Lizet Dingemans, SJ Fuerst, Lucas Garcia, Luca Indraccolo, Helen Masacz and Harriet Spratt.

Cadogan Contemporary is delighted to present North, an exhibition of new works by the acclaimed seascape artist Janette Kerr. The show is formed of two bodies of work – one recording a three-week period Kerr spent on board a three masted schooner sailing up the coast of Svalbard in Norway up to the Arctic Circle; the second deriving from the Shetland Islands, where the artist lives half of the year.

Bow Arts, London is delighted to present a mid-career retrospective by the acclaimed video and performance artist Cradeaux Alexander, taking place from 14 to 23 September 2018. Entitled Scripted Bodies, the show brings together 12 video works and recordings of performances created by the American-born artist from 2009 to 2018; alongside these, Alexander will present a new performance work, bluebeard (2018), in which he will inhabit.
